In April this year, I went to Miami. I had a few great meals but one of the most memorable was going to Joe’s Stone Crab. I was by myself so I didn’t want to go to the main dining room but luckily for me, they have Joe’s Take Away next door.
Pictured above is what happened after I devoured 8 crabs (the medium). Market price that day was $21.99. I also got a slice of key lime pie.
Of course you want to see what it looked like before the carnage. Sure thing! Here you go!
I loved sitting in the cafe. Very low-key and relaxed but still great service.
If you’ve never had stone crab before, the flavor is different from other crabs. Plus, it’s served with this delicious mustard-mayo sauce. I tried some with lemon but preferred just the mustard-mayo sauce.
The key lime pie was perfect. Stone crab and key lime pie are just a couple of things Miami is known for so I’m glad I was able to try it. I’ve been to Joe’s Stone Crab in Las Vegas and it’s just not the same without the view of the ocean nearby.
