Last Friday, I went to one of my regular lunch spots, Starry Kitchen. I had been planning to go the day before but we ended up going on Friday where apparently it became a food blogger convention. Sommelier David Haskell treated us to three different wines. I dubbed these the “paper cup pairings” series.
I particularly enjoyed the beaujolais with the Japanese meatball curry but the rose went with it as well. The chardonnay was phenomenal with the japachae.
Starry Kitchen will be opening for dinner on Thursdays and Fridays in a couple of weeks. This is welcome news for the diners of the former underground operation gone legit who can’t normally get to Downtown for their lunch hours (11-3 p.m.).
Sign up for their enewsletter for more details or follow them on Facebook or Twitter.
