For the Record: John Hughes Holiday Road Show

John Hughes: The Breakfast Club

For the Record at Show at Barre is currently presenting music from John Hughes’ movies. Since I’m a huge 80s music fan and love John Hughes movies like Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, Ferris Beuller’s Day Off and Pretty in Pink, I had to go. I went opening weekend a couple of weeks back and enjoyed all the songs. But what was really fun was the second half which features John Hughes’ holiday movies like Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Uncle Buck, Home Alone, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and more.

For the Record is so great that I’m considering going back for the special Moulin Rouge show for New Year’s Eve. I had a fab time at the Baz Luhrmann show and one night devoted to just Moulin Rouge would be fantastic. The Tarantino show was also entertaining.

Show at the Barre is expanding next year so get in now while the stage is still intimate, where you never know if you will become part of the show.

For more pictures, check out my Flickr set but I suggest you go experience it live.
