March Radio Room at the Edison

Zane Harris from Rob Roy in Seattle

Tonight is Radio Room at the Edison where they bring in guest mixologists for a special night of original cocktails. On the line up tonight are Simon Ford from Pernod Ricard (London/ New York), Zane Harris from Rob Roy (Seattle), Giuseppe Gonzalez from Dutch Kills & Painkiller (New York) and Don Lee from Momofuku (New York). Joseph Brook, the new Director of Spirits of the Edison, will also be on hand to make the odd vodka tonic (he joked, please don’t order a vodka tonic from him!).

I was able to preview the cocktails last night.

Wild Orchid

Wild Orchid– gin, almond, elderflower and “kissed with red wine.” It’s a beautiful drink. I really enjoyed the story Giuseppe Gonzalez told how the inspiration for it happened.

Infante

Infante– tequila, lime, orgeat, orange blossom water and fresh grated nutmeg. Another creation of Giuseppe.

Rite of Spring– A Don Lee twist of the classic Gibson.

Globo Rojo #2

Globo Rojo #2– mezcal, tawny port, bitters created by Zane Harris. If you like a smokey drink, this one is for you.

Vieux Cerde

Vieux Cerde– 12YO Irish Whiskey, VSOP Cognac, Elisir M.P. Roux, bitters. This was one of my faves and created by Zane.

Good Morning, Vietnam– gin, ginger, orange marmalade. A tasty concoction from Simon Ford.

All cocktails are $14.
