Las Vegas: Bombay Indian
Our fancy meals at Blue Ribbon and Milos were catching up with us. We decided to get a quick meal at Bombay Indian which is a stand-alone restaurant on the Strip. It is by Encore and the Wynn.
Although it was a typical Indian food buffet set up, some of the featured items were a-typical of the buffets in L.A. I can’t imagine any serving goat but there was goat curry along with several chicken dishes. I went for the goat which can have a lot of small bones so watch out. I was also surprised how some of the curries were actually spicy. Looking around the room, it didn’t seem like the typical touristy crowd. Could it be they serve the locals?
It kind of cracked us up the fresh naan was served in a basket with the red and white checkered wax paper usually found at Italian pizza joints. In this respect, I would have to give the nod to LA Indian restaurants for their naan (at buffets). This wasn’t too flavorful but who needed it with both white and biryani rice available at the buffet?
Don’t forget the fresh fruit, rice pudding and other desserts to finish!

That looks amazing! That checkered paper reminds me of a super-authentic delicious Indian restaurant around where I live that has paintings of venice in the bathroom. It cracks me up, but the food is AMAZING!
