626 Night Market at Santa Anita Park All Summer
Even I haven’t been to all the food festivals there are during the summer. I can’t believe 626 Night Market is entering its fourth season. I’m looking forward to my first 626 Night Market. Night markets are popular in Asia and feature a variety of inexpensive snacks. 626 Night Market captures that mood with interesting and trendsetters in street food.
It has gone from just the 626 to Orange County and Los Angeles (DTLA). And now it back to Santa Anita Park every month this summer. This weekend, Fourth of July weekend, 626 Night Market begins on Friday, July 3. It’s returns two more times this summer; August 7-9 and September 4-6. Admission is only $3 a person and free parking! Children 6 and under are free. Hours are 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., except Sundays it ends at 11 p.m. On Sunday, September 6, it will end at 1 a.m. as it’s a holiday weekend.
Last month, the buzz was around Food Beast‘s ramen donut, aka “ramnut” and Spam fries, aka “spaninal fries.” Food Beast will be bringing both items to the 626 so get ready!
No vendors have been posted so far but this blog post from 626 Night Market teases us with pork feet skewers, shark tacos, meat hooks and more. There’ll also be live bands, art walk, craft and retail vendors. Plus a special mah jong- bingo game. For the July dates, expect a laser show (who needs fireworks?). Don’t forget to bring cash for all yummy eats!
