Foodie Alert: Diana’s Eggrolls
On Sunday, I crashed the private tasting Diana’s Eggrolls set up for the UncouthGourmands. Their blog post is here.
Diana has been selling her gourmet eggrolls privately and is launching soon at farmers markets and art walks.
We were invited to try any of the eggrolls she had prepared. I opted to taste 4 savory eggrolls and a brand new dessert eggroll Diana was “rolling” out, the strawberry cheesecake.
I really enjoyed the innovative flavors such as cheeseburger. The strawberry cheesecake was not too sweet and the crumbled vanilla wafers was a perfect touch.
For more pictures, see my flickr set. There are pictures of Carina and Josie making and cooking eggrolls.
Edit: Now available at Mama’s Hot Tamales.

Yuck, no sweet ones for me. But load up the savory. When I was a kid, there were only 2 fried foods I liked: Fried chicken and Vietnamese egg rolls (best w/ rice wrapper, but I’ll take wonton wrapper).

I didn’t try any of the fruit ones though the girls seemed to like the mango ones. But yes, I love eggrolls. I especially love the Vietnamese ones with the noodles! I’ve always wanted to do a V eggroll crawl but haven’t found many takers yet.

Strawberry cheese cake and hamburger flavor. Crazy!

There’s also pizza, breakfast (filled with sausage) as well as traditional flavors like chicken, beef and shrimp. I think it’s fun to have “different” eggrolls.

Love it! I was one “stuffed eggroll” that night at home. Why did I eat so much? I’m so glad you came with. Can’t wait for your crawl manana, mamasita! She was super sweet, too.
