A Night in Venice: Wabi Sabi & Intelligentsia
After having an “appetizer” at the Dim Sum Truck, my friend and I headed over to Wabi Sabi for dinner. We started with a bowl of the largest shishito peppers I’ve ever seen with a generaous portion of bonito flakes.
We are seafood fiends and naturally we had to also get the bouillabaisse to share. It came with a little grill (though it was not lit).
Everything was delicious! I really liked the chewy rice cakes in it as well.If I could keep eating this soup, I would!
I ordered the noodles and though there were plenty of fresh rock shrimp, there wasn’t much taste to the curry.
My friend’s lamp chops were much more delectable with the lemony granita like topping.
Overall, we had a great time and plan to go back. The sushi counter looked mighty inviting as well.
We didn’t have dessert but headed over to Intelligentsia for coffee. I don’t drink coffee but every now and then I’ll have a cup because I love the smell so much. And besides, I wanted a pretty cup.
I had a great time along Abbot Kinney. What a lovely night for a stroll, food truck, dinner and coffee!

Love Intelligentsia! My favorite mocha, hands down. Well, actually, I order their cappuccino with mocha powder — close enough!

Heehee, that wasn’t my fave thing that night but it’s not bad. I think I needed to add some hot sauce to make it spicy though I know Japanese curry is more mild.
