Beverly Hills: Crescent Hotel Launches Autumn Lounge Menu & Cocktails
Boutique hotel Crescent Hotel in Beverly Hills recently launched their new Autumn menu by Chef Leonora Marouani. I was invited to check out the lounge sips and bites a couple of weeks ago. To welcome guests, Crescent Hotel puts out a punch bowl nightly. This particular night was Lucia Bose (Genever, Campari, Strawberry, lemon, gomme, rose).
The Lucia Bose turned out to be my favorite of the cocktails I tried this evening. I also tasted the Spiced Amaro Julep (black-pepper infused bourbon, Amaro Nonino, pineapple gomme, mint) and Grassroots (vodka, Amaro Montenegro, sweet vermouth, lime, rosemary).
I long abandoned vodka in favor of whiskey but it seems I may be coming back around again if bars start using it to mix with my favorite amaros. These are grown-up vodka cocktails.
We tried some small bites that promised to satiate and they did. I particularly liked the charred Brussel sprout leaves with grapes. Very unusual.
My usual preference is to sit at the bar but with an inviting outdoor patio and lounge, I’d happily sit outside. I’ll definitely have to come back to try more during happy hour. I have my eye on the Kobe sliders, spicy wings and I heard wonderful things about the falafel sliders. Chef Marouani has worked at two Michelin starred restaurants; Guy Savoy and Alex at the Wynn in Las Vegas. I’d be interested in coming back for a full-fledged dinner. Perhaps the Loup de Mer or the 12 oz ribeye.
Now who do I know that’s coming to visit so I can send them to the Crescent Hotel?
