Get Your Tickets for LA Loves Alex’s Lemonade This Sunday

There are food events and then there are FOOD events. The LA Loves Alex’s Lemonade event raises funds to fight against childhood cancer. It comes to Culver Studios this Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m. Hosted by Chef Suzanne Goin and business partner Caroline Styne (Lucques, AOC, Tavern) along with Chef David Lentz (The Hungry Cat) plus honorary hosts Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, Sunday’s event promises to be fantastic with local and out-0f-town chefs.

Tickets aren’t cheap but most of the ticket price is tax-deductible. VIP at $400 gets you early admission and a special VIP seating area. General admission is $175. The after party at Hungry Cat is $75. However, you can opt for meet and greet ticket which gets you everything VIP gets along with the after party plus an invite to the dinner held the night before on Saturday, November 5. That’s only $1200 (hey, $1000 of it is tax deductible!).

Going for general admission? Well, how about springing in another $50 and getting a great deal from Thrillist? For $225, you can get early access and attend the special mixology reception from 11A-12noon.

I’m pretty excited to see the out-of-town talent including April Bloomfield from the Spotted Pig in New York, Gabrielle Hamilton from Prune in New York, Brian Huston from the Publican in Chicago, Paul Kahan from Blackbird, Avec, The Publican in Chicago, Russell Moore from Camino in Oakland and so  many more.

Locally, I can’t miss Michael Cimarusti from Providence, Vinny Dotolo and Jon Shook from Animal, Matt Molina from Osteria Mozza, Steve Samson and Zach Pollack from Sotto and again, so many more. I will need all four hours to get to everyone!

Cocktails wise, I’m excited to try drinks from Eric Alperin from the Varnish, Greg Lindgren from Rye on the Road and I’m hoping to see cocktails from Johnathan Sundstrom’s booth (Lark and the recently closed Licorous).
