Roaring Nights at LA Zoo
Tomorrow night, July 25, is your last chance to check out the Los Angelez Zoo’s Roaring Nights series. The night time event features food trucks, live music, games, education and of course the animals!
Last week I saw Komodo, Crepe’n Around, Cool Haus, The Grilled Cheese Truck and Mandoline Grill to give you an idea of the food trucks represented.
Probably my favorite activity was petting the goats. But before careful! The curious goats may want to chew on your sweater or shoes.
Some animals were sleeping but the elephants were still awake. Seen here are the Asian Elephants on loan from the San Diego Zoo.
The zoo featured plenty of bars scattered around and one of my favorite things was the dance party near the Carousel. They had a rockin’ DJ playing jams for everyone.
There’s plenty of free parking but if you bike to the zoo, there’s a bike valet.(323) 644-4200
- $15 for zoo members, $18 for non-members
- tickets available at the gate
- 7-10 PM
I would suggest arriving early before the long lines.
