Miami: Catching the Fresh Fish at Cvi.Che 105
After a week in Orlando eating mostly New American gastropub food, I was ready for some seafood in Miami. I headed over to Cvi.Che 105, one of the city’s top spots in Downtown Miami.
The airy restaurant boasted of a large Peruvian menu. I saw a table of 6 all eating the same dish, the lomo saltado (beef with fries) that made me waver from my seafood quest but I remained strong.
We ordered two types of ceviche along with causas (Peruvian potato “cakes” shaped like sushi rolls).
I couldn’t decide which ceviche was my favorite. Both featured squid, shrimp and fish but with different sauces. In the end, I decided I liked the leches de tigre one more.
Cvi.Che 105 turns into a banging nightclub/ trendy scene at night so it’s best during the day for a leisurely lunch with a pitcher of chicha morada (Peruvian purple corn).
