Hollywood: Andare by Cento Pasta Bar

Jonesing for some pasta in Hollywood? Check out Andare by Cento Pasta Bar, a popup at Birch weekdays for lunch. Open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the menu changes frequently but there’s always wonderful pasta.
It opened about 6 weeks ago. I already love Cento in Downtown Los Angeles and was excited to see Hollywood friends getting the love.
If they have the roasted tomatoes, get ’em. Served with creamy burrata, it’s a simple but lovely appetizer.

arugula salad
I was also blown away how fresh the arugula salad was. Another simple but perfect dish.

gnocchi
Homemade anything tends to be favorable in this town of foodies but to get homemade nduja, was magnificent. It went so well with the tender gnocchi. You bet I was scraping up last bit of sauce up.

agnolotti
One of my faves at Cento is the agnolotti and I was glad to try it at Andare. These were filled with sweet potatoes and were so seasonal. I really should ask Chef Avner Lavi how he makes such perfect pasta but then I know I wouldn’t actually make the pasta myself since I can easily get to Cento or Andare for my fix.

fagiolini
Surprisingly, the richest pasta was the sausage and porcini mushroom fagiolini. It doesn’t hurt there was a bit of truffles in it as well. Again, this was another scrape-the-plate-clean pasta.
Mmm, pasta.

tiramisu
The tiramisu is served perfectly intact but we broke into it to show the rich center. If you like not-too-sweet, just-right desserts, the tiramisu is a good bet.
