Hollywood: Cool Vibes at Sunset and Vinyl

Pet Sounds
Sunset & Vinyl, a cool bar above 800 Degrees Pizza at Sunset and Vine opened last fall but I visited for the first time last month. I went on a Friday night and they were playing records picked by guests. It was just fun to peruse their vinyl collection.
The small bar opens up to a larger room overlooking the street. While I normally like sitting at the bar, it was better for conversation among the collection of armchairs and sofas.
The original cocktail list was designed by bartender mastermind Devon Espinosa. Full disclosure, he jokes I’m his cousin and so I was introduced to the bar as such. Of course I told them that was a playful thing Devon says.
It was a warm night so it was good to have a tall refreshing drink. I chose Pet Sounds which was a great name for a drink. I loved how frothy the drink was from the orgeat.
Pet Sounds – rye, pineapple, orgeat, lemon, bitters
I would get there early if you want to hear your record played!
