Unique LA: This Weekend

Last winter, I attended UniqueLA for the first time. Unlike other craft shows I’ve been to (and sold at), Unique LA has more than just crafts. It is billed  as a design and gift show.

As with this Spring show, there were over 300 vendors and I had a great time exploring them. Since I mainly work with paper myself, I generally avoided the stationery items but I bought a lot of cool jewelry. My favorite finds were old-fashioned typewriter key earrings and buttons with funny phrases like “Jelly Filled.” Oh, and yes “gifts” for others. I have a lot of kids in my life so I eyed the cute baby and children toys and apparel for them.

The Spring show promises to be even bigger than the last with more food including some food trucks (I’m very excited about Flying Pig and Fressar’s) , a kids play/ family seating area, Amoeba pop-up, photo booth, free tote with paid admission (first 300 people) and workshops.

I always like to support artisans and crafters so I’ll see you at UniqueLA!

$10 (admission is good for both April 24 and 25)
