Las Vegas: Tacos & Tequila

the strange animals you see in Las Vegas

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Las Vegas for the Repeal Day party at Cathouse at the Luxor. When asked around, everyone said we should try nearby Tacos & Tequila (T&T). When you’re inside, the Latin-themed bar and restaurant almost takes you away from the general Egyptian feel of the Luxor. Check out their website for Art of Tequila, a pretty cool section showing how agave is grown, harvested and turned into tequila.

Combo #1- cheese enchilada, chicken tamale, carnitas

On my first night, I had a combination dinner which is perfect for someone who can’t decide what to try. I enjoyed the chicken tamale and the carnitas. The pork carnitas were quite tender. They also had great chips and salsa. Friends also enjoyed the ceviche, guacamole, queso fundito and tacos.

Mexican Cobb Salad

On my next night, I wanted the Mexican Cobb Salad. I got it with grilled shrimp. It was more than enough to share.

While we were there, we ran into a bunch of Australians sporting animal head hats. Gotta love Vegas!
