Palm Springs: Breakfast at Elmer’s Restaurant
Before we left Palm Springs, we stopped at Elmer’s Restaurant to have breakfast. Locals had mentioned Cheeky’s as the favorite breakfast spot in Palm Springs but it was also closed for the off season. Elmer’s came in a close second. What I found fascinating about Elmer’s is it’s very tourist friendly but also caters to the locals. We felt immediately comfortable. I loved the huge photos of celebs who have visited Palm Springs all over the walls.
I can’t resist country fried steak so I got that smothered in country gravy along with hash browns and softly scrambled eggs. Everything was perfect.
My friend had the German pancakes. Or should I say one huge pancake. I’ve never been a sweet breakfast person but the German pancake could be something I could handle. But to give up hash browns? Nah.
