SF: Curry and More at King’s Thai Cuisine
On my first night in San Francisco, we went to King’s Thai Cuisine (formerly King of Thai). The tiny hole-in-the-wall has spawned a few locations throughout the city. We went to the original and ordered a few things to share. I can’t help but order green papaya salad at every Thai place and was pleased with this version. The portion was generous and mildly spicy.
My friend got the crab fried rice which I felt there wasn’t enough crab. She liked it though as it wasn’t too greasy.
I got the seafood penang curry which had really interesting tentacle-y bits, shrimp, fish balls and a slightly sweet curry. Spooned over rice, it was a very filling meal.
I’m glad I got a chance to have this somewhat typical Thai meal because I was ready to try the new exciting Kin Khao the next night.
