DTLA: LA Chapter at ACE DTLA

 

The restaurant LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles has been calling my name for a while. We made it for a quick snack with a couple of drinks and I’ll return soon for lunch. I’ve heard good things about their burger. And I really want to try their sea urchin chitarra when it’s available.

 

I see most people eat on the patio but there’s also a spacious dining room. We chose to eat at the bar at the Mezzanine bar. We ordered the octopus and little gem salad. The octopus was very tender and had a great nutty sauce. I was surprised by how fresh the little gem salad was. I really wanted to try the kale salad even if apparently half the people I know currently hate kale (and the other half LOVE kale). I personally love kale.

But if it’s all to chi chi for you, there’s always tacos next door.
