Avery.Sing in Little Tokyo, Downtown Los Angeles is now open. Touted as “Cal-Asian” eats, the cafe features everything from burritos to kimchi fried rice. Located in the former Green Bamboo space, the beer and wine bar also has plenty of flatscreen TVs for sports fans to catch a game while nibbling on wings or sliders. The two-story restaurant also has a small patio so there’s plenty of choices for seating. It just depends on your mood; the bar, main dining room, cozy upstairs or out in the fresh air.

As mentioned, the menu is diverse. Expect Ktown corn cheese, daily specials like ribeye steak or stalwarts from the old Green Bamboo Chinese menu such as honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken.

Currently Avery.Sing is open for lunch and dinner and brunch is coming soon. I’m looking forward to coming back for rice bowls and noodle soups for lunch. Expect dim sum dumplings to be added to the brunch menu. I’d also love to come back for the nachos with bulgogi beef and wonton soup.
