DTLA: Here’s the Deal on the Fried Chicken at Ledlow

 

When Instagram pictures of Ledlow‘s fried chicken started popping up, I thought I should check it out soon. Then I heard it’s all you can eat. What? Let’s go!

Here are the things you need to know before you go:

The deal is only on Mondays.

It’s not really all you can eat.

But!! For $35 you get 7 pieces of chicken, two sides (cole slaw and mashed potatoes and gravey) as well as fluffy biscuits. Our server told us confidently no one has ever wanted more food after consuming this meal. But if you really want more chicken, it’s another $15. No word on whether that means more of everything including sides or just chicken. I’m almost tempted to go back for the real challenge but I was content with the $35 dinner. Plus we also ordered a salad to start with so we were very full.

The chicken was crispy and juicy. I liked the lighter style of cole slaw. But the decadent gravy with creamy mashed potatoes were well worth the calories. Plus I already love Chef Josef Centeno’s biscuits and gravy from Baco Mercat it was no surprise the biscuits that came with the fried chicken were wonderful. They came pre-buttered with a little honey.
