Newport Beach: Picnic in Style with Pandor Boulangerie
This summer has been my summer of picnics. While down in Orange County, I stopped at Pandor Boulangerie in Newport Beach to grab essentials for the perfect outdoor meal.
For 6 people, we grabbed three sandwiches, a nice wedge of quiche, beet salad, hummus, bread and drinks. Get your buddies to bring dessert and wine (or Scotch!) for the picnic!
The Newport Beach location has easy parking and I was able to quickly get our order (always good to call ahead) and back on the road within minutes.
I eyed getting a whole quiche next time. I think it’ll make a great lunch or additional dish for an upcoming holiday dinner. Thanksgiving, anyone?
We didn’t get dessert but maybe we should have grabbed macarons or a tart. The fig tart looked amazing.
My favorite of the three sandwiches we tried was the Nicoise. I love Nicoise salad and this was such a genius idea. The turkey cubano and turkey and brie are also great bets.
We also really liked the beet salad. Plus the hummus with bread made a great snack while enjoying an outdoor concert.
I’m really starting to regret not getting dessert. Next time!
Bonus– there are locations closer to Los Angeles including the brand new one at the Anaheim Packing House and also in Long Beach.
