The Italian American Museum of Los Angeles returns with their Taste of Italy Saturday, October 10. Held in the courtyard of the beautiful Pico House in Downtown Los Angeles, Taste of Italy features food, wine and spirits tastings, live music from LA Opera, marketplace and cooking demonstrations.

Tickets are $55 (6 food tickets, 6 drink tickets) and $25 for children (5-12, 4 food tickets, 2 drink tickets). You may also purchase a premiere ticket for $125 which includes 8 food tickets, 8 drink tickets and lots of goodies. Or go for a table of 10 for $5000 (everyone each gets 10 food tickets, 10 drink tickets). Check out the tickets page for more info.

Besides wine, be sure to stop by the Fratelli Branca booth to get a taste of Italian liqueurs and vermouths. Plus Italian beer Peroni Beer will be there to quench your thirst as well.

No matter which ticket you buy, make sure you save a food ticket for dessert! Last year Jonathan Club brought a bevy of delightful desserts. The favorite was the push pop!

I really enjoyed last year’s mozarella making demo from Di Stefano Cheese. It doesn’t hurt there’s a lot of eye candy and I’m not talking about the food. Oh mama mia! There will be other cooking demos. Be sure to check them out for free samples.
