East Hollywood: Lebanese Dinner at Marouch
We were looking for a restaurant in nearby Los Feliz when we decided to check out Marouch. It’s been on my list forever and I’m glad we were able to get our Lebanese food on.
After getting a couple of appetizers, we shared the vegetarian combo which is a plate of classic mezze including hummus, eggplant dip (baba ghanoush), falafel, dolmas and parsley salad (tabbouleh)
To supplement our meal, we also got mouhamara, the red pepper dip with crushed walnuts. It gave me an idea a dinner party should just be a dips and pita party.
For a little bit of meat, we had sugok; sausages in a nice olive oil. We were full and happy after our meal. I’m always happy with how healthy and delicious Middle Eastern food is and look forward to exploring more of the menu. Perhaps kabobs next time!
