Las Vegas: Entertainment and Thai Dinner at Krung Siam
Following drinks at the Golden Tiki, we decided to go across the street to Krung Siam Thai since we wanted Thai food. It turned out to be a lucky coincidence they had a singer singing not just in Thai but also recent pop hits.
The four of us shared everything and started out with a light cucumber salad. It’s a great way to get some fresh veggies in.
We also got the whole squid which came with some really spicy sauces. I put the merest daub on for a little flavor since the squid was otherwise unseasoned.
I know I should love larb considering my love affair with ground meat (meatballs, burgers, meatloaf, etc) but I felt I needed a bowl of rice. I am always confounded by the plate of ground meat and raw cabbage slices as an appetizer. So I saved some to eat later.
I wanted a curry and thought the roasted duck curry would be a treat. The duck was plentiful and though no one else wanted the rice, I did and ate a bowl happily with the curry.
Our veggie seeking ways found the eggplant which we got with tofu since we were trying to cover all the proteins. Like almost everything we ordered, I requested this to be more on the mild side. Hey, there’s hot sauce in my bag, swag! Just kidding, the hot sauce is on the table.
We had actually ordered the drunken noodles with pork but we accepted it with chicken because we all know The Minty loves her noodles.
It was a great time and we really enjoyed the singer. I probably have had better Thai food but at the moment when the restaurant you wanted to go to is closed on Mondays and Krung is right there, you go to Krung.
