DTLA: Fritzi Now Open in the Arts District

rotisserie chicken
Fritzi is now open in Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles. The bright and airy spot is best known for their wood-fired rotisserie chicken. I shared this along with the special that day, the corned beef and cabbage sandwich for St. Patrick’s day.
When I chose cauliflower, I was pleasantly surprised to find multi-colored cauliflower. It was just so cheerful, who couldn’t love this lunch? Plus, it doesn’t hurt the chicken was absolutely tender and very juicy. No more grocery store chickens for me anymore! Plus the potato waffles are amazing. I could eat a pile of these! They’re like fluffy waffle shaped french fries.

dipping sauces for the chicken
As mentioned the chicken was very juicy so we really didn’t need any dipping sauces but go for them if you like a spicy kick. I favored the green harissa sauce. There’s also yuzu citrus aioli and romesco.

corned beef and cabbage sandwich
As mentioned, we were there during St. Patrick’s day so we took advantage of the specials. The corned beef and cabbage was a fresh take on the traditional Irish meal.

Irish nachos
We loved the Irish nachos which turned out to be tater tots with beer cheese and crispy corned beef.
If you know about Fritzi Dog you might want to get a dog (or two) at this sit-down location but go for the chicken. Bonus, they have a full bar.
Next time I want to try the burger or fish sandwich! And get a cocktail, of course.

Good job The Minty. Man that rainbow cauliflower is beautiful. I love this new dining destination in the Art’s District. The potato waffles are pretty darn good.
