A Summer of Night Markets in Orange County and the SGV

The OC Night Market returns tonight and through the weekend (6/17-19) to the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa. I checked it out for the first time last month and here are some highlights.

Last year, I spotted the giant fried squid and knew I had to try it this year. Seafood lovers are going to get a kick out of the monstrosity. So much squid to eat!

I also saw mason jars trending and was happy to get this refreshing lychee drink with pea butterfly at Popdup. It wasn’t too sweet which I was glad for in the heat.

There’s always live entertainment and we stopped to watch the Chinese Lion Dancers.

With so many vendors, get there early to try all the popular spots serving Taiwanese popcorn chicken, pho fries and I even spotted live sea urchins. And it was pretty reasonable to get an uni.

I highly suggest arriving early to try all the rainbow grilled cheese, fried squid, chicken wings of all kinds and so much more.

OC Night Market runs again next month at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa August 26–28.

The 626 Night Market returns to the Santa Anita Park in Arcadia Independence Day Weekend July 2-4 (Saturday through Monday), July 22-24, August 5-7 and Labor Day weekend, September 2-4.
