DTLA: Tacos Everyday at Sonoratown

It was a Wednesday when I went to check out Sonoratown. I joked it must have been Taco Wednesday or actually, Tacos Everyday! I am certain I can eat tacos every day in Los Angeles. There’s such diversity, you can have three meals of tacos every day of the week for months and still not go to all the tacos spots in LA. It’s nice to have goals though. And with that in mind, I am trying all the tacos I can find in Downtown Los Angeles.

This latest DTLA taqueria may be small in size but it’s mighty. They are serving tacos on their pillow-y tortillas but also have corn tortillas. Plus there are a few other things on the menu but I was there for tacos. I decided to try all the offerings minus the veg one.

So I got four tacos; steak, pork, chicken, chorizo. My favorites were the steak and chorizo. I found it rather novel to have tacos on flour tortillas but I must admit it was a nice change. Perhaps next time I’ll the corn tortillas to compare. I liked the avocado sauce. I had gotten the salsa on the side and luckily for me they gave me both salsa verde and salsa roja. I actually didn’t think it was that spicy so next time I’ll get the salsas on the tacos.
I washed these babies down with an aqua fresca. The cucumber mint and lime one was calling my name.
