Little Tokyo: Pastries and More at Midori Matcha

 

Midori Matcha recently opened in Little Tokyo.

Matcha is whole young green tea leaves that are stone ground. It is often used for ceremonial purposes and Midori Matcha does offer it traditionally prepared and served. Or if you’re on the run, you can grab drinks and snacks made with matcha including matcha limeade, matcha soft serve and pastries.

Midori Matcha does have comfortable seating so if you have time for a matcha latte or matcha Americano, I recommend it drinking it in the cafe. Pastries are made for Midori from Pitchoun Bakery. Try the danish or the cream puff.

I recently had their cold brew matcha and it was so refreshing. It’s just slightly bitter enough to be bracing. I love green tea and having whole stone ground tea is the way to go.
