Seattle: Late Night at Toulouse Petit Kitchen and Lounge

Negroni
On our first night in Seattle, we had a recommendation to check out the late night eats at Toulouse Petit Kitchen & Lounge.
My first order of business was to secure a cocktail. I decided to get a Negroni which was perfectly made.
Toulouse is super romantic and I loved all the lights on the walls.

mussels
We enjoyed mussels as our appetizer and honestly, it could have been enough for a light snack with some bread. However… we moved on to eat both our lunch and dinner in one fell swoop.

pasta
My friend decided to get the sausage pasta which was a generously sized portion. We had plenty of leftovers. It was the beginning of a hotel fridge full of yummies.

fried chicken gumbo
I had the fried chicken gumbo. Yep, it was pieces of wonderful fried chicken on top of a delicious bowl of gumbo. I can’t help but order gumbo whenever I see it. Generally I’m not as happy with it as I am when I’m in New Orleans but Toulouse makes a very solid version. There were other Creole dishes that caught my eye and I just might have to make a stop at Toulouse the next time I’m in the Emerald City.
