Orange County: Opah Grill in Aliso Viejo

chopped seafood salad

I’ve now been to Opah in Aliso Viejo in Orange County several times. I’ve only gone for lunch but I’ve ordered this chopped seafood salad twice now. It’s my favorite thing on the menu.

It’s the perfect salad on a warm day. I do switch out the chipotle ranch for a vinaigrette which goes well with the chilled seafood.

And can we talk about the onion rings? They’re always so lightly fried and perfect.

But of course my favorite thing about the salad is the seafood Plump shrimp and lots of crab. It’s a filling salad. I couldn’t finish it the first time I had it and it made a good mid-afternoon snack later in the day.

Actually, I always seem to have leftovers from Opah. Very good portions for the value.

Opah is located in a giant shopping mall so it’s nice to have something local to the area rather than a chain restaurant.

So if you happen to find yourself in Aliso Viejo, go to Opah and tell me that’s not a great salad.
