Bacardi Spirit Forward- on Tuesday, April 23rd, Bacardi along with Punch magazine present Spirit Forward, an one day event talk people in the spirits industry but also to anyone interested in learning about female entrepreneurship. It’s only $40 and benefits Dress for Success, a not-for-profit dedicated to helping women achieve financial independence.
I’m looking forward to the seminars particularly the Social Media game changer talk and hearing from powerful and highly acclaimed women in the hospitality industry.

I know you’ll be hungry after an all-day seminar so check out Bahala Na fried chicken popup at Ma’am Sir. Chef Charles Olalia is starting a series of popup nights with the goal to help upcoming chefs titled “The Talent Show.” The first chef is Derrick e Jesus, Ma’am Sir’s own Chef de Cuisine.
The fried chicken is available Tuesdays; April 23 and 30 only. I loved the chicken but also the deviled eggs, okra escabeche, mashed potatoes and gravy (which we were advised to put the gravy on EVERYTHING!) and the simple dessert. I thought the Filipino twist on American Southern food was so cool!

It’s 6-9 p.m. so I’ll have to choose carefully but I definitely want to hit up Border Grill, Connie and Ted’s, Crossroads Kitchen, Gwen, Hinoki and the Bird, Holbox, Jaffa, Jar, Mrs. Fish, Otium, Park’s Bianco, Petrossian, Rossoblu, Salazar, Tartine Bianco, The Villiage Idiot and so many more! And don’t forget about the drinks! Can’t forget Chareau, Cutwater Spirits, Kikori Whiskey and there are non-alcoholic options like Seedlip!
