PDX: Happy Hour at Revelry

Tip Toe
While in Portland, I got a tip to check out Revelry. I happened upon it after my tour at Westward Whiskey so I decided to stop in for happy hour.
When I spotted the Tip Toe, I knew that was the drink for me. I love whiskey, grapefruit and hopped grapefruit bitters. Plus, I’ve judged region cocktail competions for Amaro Montenegro. My only regret was not asking for the specs.

Mrs. Yang’s spicy fried chicken
I love fried chicken and decided to try the fried chicken. The server told me it’s very popular as a sandwich but honestly sometimes I just like fried chicken without all that interfering bread, lettuce and tomato.

sauteed greens
After a few days of any trip, I am constantly craving simple greens. I immediately ordered the sauteed greens when I spotted the dish on the happy hour list. Was it too much for one person? Maybe but I also am know to cook up an entire head of kale, lettuce or a pound of spinach in one go.
I enjoyed my time at Revelry and would love to have something like this in Los Angeles. It’s surprisingly hard to find good Asian food with a full craft cocktail bar.
