Las Vegas: Drinks at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill
After dinner at Old Homestead at Caesars Palace, we walked a few feet over to the Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill. Too bad we weren’t hungry as the traditional British pub menu looked good with fish and chips, shepard’s pie and sticky toffee pudding.
I wanted to say hello to Pub bartender Raul Faria whom I met at the LA regional competition for Disaronno a few years ago.
After looking over the cocktail list, we left Raul to whip up drinks based on our preferences. He also shared some drinks he was entering or have entered into cocktail competitions.
For a Gentleman Jack (Jack Daniels) competition, Raul went the extra mile for his version of a “Jack and Coke.” It was familiar yet so much better.
I also liked his whiskey drink he made my friend. It was an easy drink to toss back while observing the many fascinating characters in Las Vegas.
I love having a bartender guide us through a cocktail adventure. We went from Tennessee to Brazil with Raul’s Leblon Cachaca drink. I loved the combination of lemon and sage. It was another refreshing drink which was quite needed after a day of travel or if you left the cool air of your hotel and walked even five minutes under the hot Vegas sun.
Next time, fish and chips!
