Las Vegas: Steaks and Foie Gras at Old Homestead Steakhouse
On my first night in Las Vegas, we headed over to Old Homestead Steakhouse at Caesars Palace. There’s a location in New York as well. The East Coast steakhouse vibe was recreated in Vegas with the dark lighting and big booths.
Being from California, home of the banned foie gras, I try to get it when I travel. When we spotted the option to add foie to our steaks, of course we did that.
And added a lobster tail for good measure. Surf and turf!
We also got fries, mushrooms and Brussels sprouts as sides. We even got the fat boy sauce to go with the fries which reminded me of a baked potato toppings. It’s sour cream with shredded cheese and bacon. If you’re going for a steak dinner, you might as well go all out. The Brussels sprouts featured big pieces of bacon. There’s no hiding the fact the food here is rich.
After that meal, it didn’t seem complete without strawberry cheesecake. Viva New York via Las Vegas!
