North Hollywood: Italian Comfort Food and Drinks at Little Toni’s
ravioli and spaghetti with sausage
Being the classy dame I am, I ordered Nikka Coffey Grain whisky while checking out the bar at Little Toni’s, dubbed Bar Toni’s.
I’ve had the pizza before from Little Toni’s but never actually sat in the restaurant. It has this classic Italian-American charm. As expected, the menu includes lots of red sauce comfort food items like spaghetti and meatballs. My eyes landed on a combo of ravioli and spaghetti with sausage. My massive plate also included soup. I got minestrone. And we also got little personal pizzas that were delicious. There’s some wariness that a mound of food can’t possibly be good. But it is and then some. After I happily ate half my ravioli, I fished out a whole sausage link and was absolutely delighted. I had forgotten about it while twirling my pasta around my fork, attacking it like some sort of noodles lollipop.
And the drinks? The bartenders are trained on craft cocktails. Get any of those or a nip (dram) of whisk(e)y because that’ll be just fine as well.
