Bar Specials with the LA Passport
The Passport Program is still currently available for Los Angeles and other cities. The $20 field guide to drinking includes discounts for over 80 spots in Los Angeles. The specials are good until Labor Day, September 7. Recently I hit up a few spots in Hollywood to try out my passport. It’s very fun with a group of your friends go on a bar crawl. You might want to hit up Wood and Vine, Butchers and Barbers and Power House like we did or add in other Hollywood spots like Boardner’s and the Spare Room.
At Wood and Vine, they’re offering a Black Manhattan for only $8. Once you get your passport stamped, you can’t get this special anymore but they do offer happy hour and great bar snacks.

Next I bounced over to Butchers and Barbers. I hadn’t been to this bar before and plan to return for food. The deal was $8 Old Grand-dad whiskey drinks. But I spied something from the brand new cocktails list that just rolled out so I tried the Surfers Beware (rum, green-tea infused apple brandy, lemon, demerara, orange bitters). Luckily I got this for the same price as $8.

Power House is offering old fashioneds for $8. Remember, once you get your passport stamped, you can’t get another one at this great deal. But with over 80 spots in LA offering a great deal, it won’t be hard to find another drinks special.
