DTLA: Rice Bowls at EdiBOL
Now open at One Santa Fe in the Arts District, EdiBOL brings rice bowls, brunch and more to Downtown Los Angeles.
There’s something sneaky about having a bit of sparkling wine at lunch but of course it’s healthy when combined with juices, right? Try one of the hand crafted cocktails or if you’re being good, the booze-free versions are simply refreshing.

For an appetizer, we tried the grilled cheese with pretzel bread. It was super rich but I like to think the pretzel bread provided a sturdy system of delivering the oozy-melty cheese to your hungry face. I was good with just a quarter but someone could consider this their whole lunch.
My friend ordered the veggie bowl and added an extra crispy egg. I like eggs too but two? She assured me I’d understand once I crack it open to let the yolk spread around. Ahhh. She was right.
I got the veggie bowl and added grilled shrimp. It’s everything I like in a bowl- nutty tasting rice, lots of pickled veggies, fresh veggies, and that wonderful crispy egg. The shrimp were tasty as well.
Who says you can’t have dessert and breakfast at the same time. The custard French toast is good for either brunch or a dessert after a healthy meal.
I’m already thinking about what combination of things to get next time.
