LA Loves Alex’s Lemonade Returns on Saturday, September 9

Spectacular cocktails
One of Los Angeles’ best food festivals, LA Loves Alex’s Lemonade returns to UCLA’s Royce Quad on Saturday, September 9. Hosted by chef Suzanne Goin (Luques, a.o.c., Tavern), her business partner Carolyn Styne (Luques, a.o.c., Tavern) and chef David Lentz (The Hungry Cat), the fest starts at 12:30 and runs until 4:30 p.m.
Leading up to the day are several events around town including New Orleans’ Cure bar popping up at the Hungry Cat on Thursday, September 7. Cure was one of my fave bars I visited in NOLA. And I’m excited to see they’re doing cocktails and some great food that night. Think po’ boys yes, but also fried soft shell crawfish?? Oh my!

Wonderful chefs (Adam Perry Lang serving up BBQ)
I had so many fave bites last year but a highlight was the barbecue from Adam Perry Lang. It was well waiting in the long line for it. And he’s back again this year!

Adam Perry Lang’s beautiful ‘cue
Just give me everything.

gimme all the seafood
Alex’s Lemonade benefits Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a charity dedicated to helping children with childhood cancers. It’s a worthy cause and I hope you join me in Westwood that day. Some chefs you don’t want to miss include Wes Avila of Guerrilla Tacos, April Bloomfield of the upcoming Hearth and Hound, Michael Cimurusti of Providence, Josiah Citrin of Melisse, Scott Conant of the Ponte, Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken of Border Grill, Ray Garcia of Broken Spanish, Timothy Hollingsworth of Otium, Bricia Lopez of Guelaguetza, Matt Molina of Everson Royce Bar and so many more!
