Pico Rivera: Indian Food at Curry Hut

Curry Hut
I had a craving for Indian food and I looked up Curry Hut. When I got there, I discovered it was in a strip mall anchored by a Target store. Oooh, I know where I was going after to walk off a big meal…
The combinations are very affordable. My vegetarian friend got an all veggie combo while I had a couple of meat curries and a veggie. If you want garlic naan, it’s only fifty cents more.
Yes, this was a fast casual spot with a few tables inside. It seems they do a brisk take out business during the week. We went on the slightly later side on a Saturday and we had the place to ourselves.

The reviews indicated people are into salt and pepper chicken. I decided to stick to just a regular chicken spinach curry along with their goat curry. Then I got aloo gobi (cauliflower and potato) though I really thought about getting eggplant as another side. It was already too much food and it took me two meals to finish it all. I loved that the naan stayed fluffy even after I reheated it.
Everything had a nice heat to it and the potatoes were really great. My friend got a side of raita which helped some of the spicy heat.
I’m coming back for biryani, the tandoori chicken and I’d like to try their chai and mango lassi next time.
