DTLA: Drinks at Bar Franca

Bar Franca has been open in Downtown Los Angeles for a few months now but I finally made it over there a couple of weeks ago. Once there, I discovered how cute and fabulous it is.

I discovered the owners opened The Must, one of my favorite spots and I’m still bummed out it didn’t last (the second location)– I wrote about it 5 times!

Bar Franca doesn’t have food but as mentioned, I loved the vibe. It feels like a modern fern bar. They have a rather large whiskey/whisky collection with plans to add more agave and gin options.

 

I tried a couple of drinks including the Moonlight Crush. It’s a cobbler style drink with Scotch and sherry. I love cobblers and particularly sherry cobblers. The Ardbeg was a nice addition. Although it’s December, it’s still crushable since we still have warm days!

And if you want to continue the juicy drinks train, I’d go with the Fizzy Lifting Drink. Willy Wonka can eat his heart out. Have this one and admire the artwork. I can’t wait for the murals to be finished. Although they’re nudes, it’s high art and matches the classy look of the bar and current subtle holiday decor.
