Leimert Park: Seafood Feast at Fisherman’s Island

 

I hooked up with my favorite seafood buddy for a night of crab (and more!). I wanted to tell her about my Alaska adventures and I was already missing the King crab legs I had up north.

I did a search and found Fisherman’s Island which just opened earlier this year.

It was a Friday night and they were doing brisk business. Many orders were for take out and delivery but we opted to eat in.

Your food comes in tin trays ideal to take away but we just couldn’t wait. We dove into our combo of shrimp, crab and two small lobster tails. Although we generally liked the sides (we ate all the corn and broccoli), we had a lot of seafood to get through. I am rather certain this combo would be better for a family of four but we are seafood greedy. By the end, we were pushing the last few shrimp back and forth in the buttery bath while saying, “I believe that’s your shrimp. Eat it!!!”

I thought this was a very good deal- just under $60 for a pound of shrimp, pound of crab and two lobster tails.
