PDX: Happy Hour at Lechon

 

When I was off to Portland, one of my good friends practically ordered me to Lechon. She said the octopus was the best she ever had. I had just landed and eaten a huge lunch at Afuri. After walking around Chinatown and Old Town, I had coffee over at one of the many Stumptown coffee shops to wait for Lechon to open for the night.

Luckily they had happy hour but I also got the octopus which is on the regular menu.

I sat at the bar and was fascinated by the jellyfish floating peacefully around the aquarium.

Happy hour drinks options included beer, wine and a couple of cocktails including the daily punch called La Garra.

 

 

From the happy hour list, I kept to a light dish. I can always eat seafood and the ceviche sounded great. That and the octopus made my night.
