Echo Park: Barbecue with a Filipino Twist at The Park’s Finest

the spread
We stopped into the Park’s Finest on our way to the new bar, Thunderbolt. I’ve been meaning to try this barbecue spot with a Filipino twist for ages now.
I only had one request of my friends, I wanted ribs. That’s my fave ‘cue and I’m always interested in finding the best ribs.
We also got chicken and tri-tip. While I liked the ribs, the tri-tip turned out to be my favorite of the night. Now I want to try the hot links, pulled pork, coconut beef and short ribs next time! The chicken was actually pretty good. It was moist and friends enjoyed the crispy skin.
But what kind of BBQ spot is complete without amazing sides? We were into the corn bread (so good, it was almost like cake!) and smoked gouda mac and cheese. I want to try the elote next time as well.
