SGV: Dumplings at Supreme Dragon

 

I’ll never get tired of exploring every dumplings spot in the San Gabriel Valley. Every now and then I’ll just search for dumplings and head to the latest new spot. One Saturday, Supreme Dragon turned up. And off I went for not one, not two but three orders of various dumplings. And for good measure, noodles and appetizers.

 

 

We ordered xiao long bao (soup dumplings), potstickers (pan fried dumplings) as well as spicy wontons. I liked all of them but had a special fondness for the spicy wontons.

I thought pork soup dumplings went so fast! And it was just the two of us. Perhaps we need TWO of those orders next time.

 

My friend wasn’t into the spicy wontons as much as I was. Perhaps it’s the slight sweetness to the sauce which also hinted of cabbage. She took the potstickers leftovers for her son which made a great snack later.

 

We did start with cucumber salad as well as seaweed. This is how I tell myself I’m being healthy.

 

I probably would have gotten beef noodle soup but on this day we decided to get the pork and preserved veggie soup. These noodles were a hit!

I enjoyed lunch there but You Dumplings across the street still has my heart.
