Last week, I checked out Four Cafe for lunch. It’s been open for about two months and today there was a Blackboard Eats offer for 30% off dinner. Not a bad deal!
Located on Colorado, it’s just down the street from Casa Bianca, Colorado Wine Company, The Oinkster and other popular Eagle Rock hot spots.
I was feeling the steak salad. Carina got the steak sandwich. Great minds think alike! They did tell us starting this week there was going to be a new menu. I hope they don’t get rid of the steak!
When I took a bite out of Carina’s sandwich, the first thing I thought about the pickles was, “woah, someone loves vinegar more than me!” It was incredibly tart and perfect if you like homemade pickles.
I really enjoyed my huge bowl of greens including napa cabbage and tender juicy steak. My only preference would have been warmer steak but I didn’t really expect a freshly cooked steak for our meals.
What was amazing to me was the attention to detail. My avocado chunks were perfect, not a black spot on any of them. And I loved the sprinkle of kosher salt on the steak. The dressing was light and perfect.
I can’t wait to come back for dinner and the delicious lavender brown butter cookie which reminded me so deliciously of Ludo’s lavender butter.

It’s really a neat little place. I really liked the fresh market driven concept. I’m hoping to get to it again with my BBE coupon.
