Thirsty Thursday

Thursday has been my long-standing favorite day of the week. It always signifies the upcoming weekend to me. While I may be exhausted by Friday from the long week, I can’t resist going out on Thursday nights.

Here are my picks for September 30.

5-11 PM

Malo teams up once again with Tiny Bandit to host a pop-up sample sale. Malo will host an extended happy hour from 5 to 11 p.m. $1 tacos! The upstairs will be transformed into an one-night only shopping experience. Get discounted Diesel, Kova & T, Riviera Club, Saint Grace and many other brands from 50-75% off. Check out Tiny Bandit for more info. And don’t forget the music! DJ My Shimoda will be spinnin’.

5:30-7PM

The last night of the “Opening Night” series concludes with 20 wines selected by the local Fleming’s wine manager. $25 gets you a tasting plus small bites. Reservations are required.

5P to Closing

The Hollywood Corner launched a $3 beer menu earlier this month. Get beers on tap like Stella and Arrogant Bastard or bottled beers like Newcastle and Fox Barrel Hard Cider for only $3. And if you buy two drinks, get 50% off appetizers. The greatest thing about this deal is it’s every day!

8PM

I love the Hollywood Bowl. I had feared with it being Fall it’d be too cold for an outdoor concert but attending Vampire Weekend on Sunday at the Bowl made me think otherwise. The weather should be great tomorrow night for Pavement and Sonic Youth.

Don’t forget that picnic!

This one-night only event benefits Root Down. The menu looks great. I’m looking forward to the rib eye and dessert! Pumpkin pot de creme? Plus, they have Zane Harris from Seattle as their guest mixologist.

Make reservations here. Or hop on over to the bar to enjoy the bar menu of pate, pickles and of course, cocktails.
