For the Record: Boogie Nights at Rockwell Table & Stage

Boogie Nights

Recently Show at Barre expanded into Vermont Kitchen & Bar. The new space is now called Rockwell Table and Stage. I checked it out for For the Record’s Boogie Nights show which also included songs from director P.T. Anderson’s Magnolia.

When I had seen Boogie Nights on the season line-up during the holiday show last year, I was pretty excited. I loved the songs from Boogie Nights and Magnolia. Although I was a bit sad that the little shoebox theatre would no longer feature (unofficially, of course) wait staff skirting around the tight room and actors, it was nice to relax in the much larger space. But don’t worry, there’s always that potential an actor is going to drink your drink, take you up for a dance or the server whisper if you need anything else during the show. That’s what is so fun about going to a show at Rockwell.

For the last few shows I’ve seen, Anderson Davis has struck me as not only a great team player but the star that steals the show. You can’t miss his mullet-headed performance in Boogie Nights which runs until August 5th.
