West Hollywood: Drinking at No More Heroes

White Satin, Afternoon Delight

No More Heroes recently opened in the old Now Boarding space. We were walking towards Employees Only when we decided to stop in. For a spot that just opened, the bar was fairly busy. We were given a spiced popcorn that was a welcome snack.

The first drink we tried is the White Satin which is a gin sour variation with St. Germain. I probably should have clarified if they were using Bombay Sapphire or the original London dry gin. Either way, it’s a fairly light drink. The bitters design was just a little bit blurred but it’s the logo for No More Heroes.

White Satin – Bombay gin, St. Germain, Dolin Blanc vermouth, egg white, lemon

Afternoon Delight

I picked the Afternoon Delight despite the mention of toasted coconut (I’m not a big coconut fan) and the first sip was immediately coconut flavored. However, I didn’t mind it and the toasted coconut was actually nice. This felt like a grown up beach drink.

Afternoon Delight – cucumber and pineapple-infused Ilegal mezcal, Giffard banana liqueur, toasted coconut, lime

No More Heroes plans on serving food in the future. They have a surprisingly extensive whiskey collection and it’s a good addition to the neighborhood.
