USC: Seafood at Holbox

 

I finally made it to Holbox at the Mercado La Paloma last week. It’s a sibling restaurant to Chichen Itza, also at the Mercado La Paloma.

What spurred me were recent photos of giant surf clam but it wasn’t available when I went. Instead I had ceviche and a couple  of fish tacos.

 

My friend ordered a shrimp cocktail. She loved the orange juice in the mix.

 

The mixed ceviche was really great. I loved the octopus and thought about getting the octopus in the future as an entree.

 

 

Surprise! They did have softshell crab so I had to get that. I over-ordered but I didn’t mind.

 

The fish tacos were great. I enjoyed my time and plan to go back for dinner. Just get there before 8 p.m. as they close early.
